BRAKE CYLINDER
The main function of the brake cylinder is to decelerate and stop the forklift by pushing the brake pads. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the brake master cylinder generates thrust and distributes the hydraulic oil pressure to each cylinder.
The piston inside the cylinder begins to move under the action of the hydraulic pressure, thereby pushing the brake pads to rub against the brake drum to achieve the braking effect.
Working Principle:
After stepping on the brake, the master cylinder generates thrust to press the hydraulic oil to the cylinder, and the piston inside the cylinder begins to move under the hydraulic pressure to push the brake pads. The oil brake is composed of a brake master cylinder and a brake oil storage tank. It is connected to the brake pedal at one end and the brake oil pipe at the other end.
The brake master cylinder stores brake oil and has an oil outlet and an oil inlet. When the brake is stepped on, the oil outlet opens, and the oil inlet closes. Under the pressure of the pump piston, the brake oil pipe is squeezed out of the oil pipe and flows to each brake cylinder for braking.
When the brake pedal is released, the oil outlet in the brake master cylinder will close, and the oil inlet will open so that the brake oil will flow back from each brake cylinder to the brake master cylinder and return to the original state.

HYDRAULIC TRANSMISSION
The brake cylinder works through a hydraulic system. When the driver presses the brake pedal, the brake fluid is transferred from the main pump to the cylinder, pushing the piston inside the cylinder to generate braking force. This hydraulic transmission method has the characteristics of fast response and uniform force transmission.
COMPACT STRUCTURE
The brake cylinder is usually designed to be very compact to fit the limited space inside the wheel. It is made of aluminum alloy or cast iron, which not only ensures strength but also reduces weight.
PISTON DESIGN
The brake cylinder contains one or more pistons inside. The number and size of the pistons depend on the type of forklift and braking requirements. High-performance forklift usually adopt a multi-piston design to provide stronger braking force and better heat dissipation.
HIGH TEMPERATURE AND CORROSION RESISTANCE
The brake cylinder is subjected to high temperatures during operation, especially during frequent braking or high-intensity braking. Therefore, the materials and seals of the cylinder need to have good high temperature and corrosion resistance to ensure long-term stable operation.
EASY MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT
The brake cylinder is usually designed with a modular structure for easy maintenance and replacement. When a malfunction occurs to the slave cylinder (such as oil leakage or piston sticking), the slave cylinder can be replaced without replacing the entire brake system, which reduces maintenance costs.
